Bringing Fall Indoors

I'm not much for decorating...in fact, as far as I'm concerned, the simpler the better.  But I do update a few things as the seasons change...

...a touch of fall welcome to our front door...
...a colorful glass pumpkin for the table...
...and a couple vases (for me that would be vase like lace and not vase like vaaaaz) of flowers...
...transported here from the river house trip and reconstructed into a couple bouquets...Jessi 'n gang brought them when they came to visit, I just couldn't leave them behind!

Of course, then there's the bathroom ensemble (pronounced like the French would, I am of French descent after all, click here to hear it, and yes, I do say it like this)...I know, it's really winter decor, but I'm all about "let it snow" and I don't have an ensemble specifically for fall...yet, I'm waiting to find the perfect one.  Notice the third bouquet...

The snowmen replace my hummingbird ensemble, you can see a picture of it hereI thought I'd show you the hand towel holder we made out of a piece of wood we found...I think it's awesome!

And finally, a touch in the kitchen...I've got kitchen towels for every season and reason and non reason, so they change quite frequently!  Someday this towel rack will be made out of natural wood we find in the woods as well, but haven't found just the right piece.

Do you change your home decor based on the seasons?  I'll be changing my outdoor hanging decor as well...I'll save that for another post (specifically since I haven't changed it yet, LOL!).

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise

Cute decor and great towel holder. Donald put the pumpkins up in the family room above the TV, on the front door, in the front window and on either side of the big black swan...we are done! Hugs!

I love your multi-colored pumpkin and your towel rack.
That's my kind of decoration too.
I pull out a few things...but somehow everything just finds it's place and stays there..(:0)

Thanks dad, sounds very festive in your house! I remember all the decorations we put up when we were kids in MA, but more than that all the pranks you played to scare the wits out of us, LOL! Hugs back:)

Thanks photwannabe! Things finding their place keeps things simple for the same season next year!
