The Creek Rushes Through It

Our creek is part of the headway that feeds into the creek that flows down our mountain.  It's lines the winding road and is a comforting sight while twisting and turning on the way down the mountain into town.  Today, as I headed into town for a couple appointments, I was shocked by it's power.  Twice it's breadth and depth, muddied by everything it carried, it was clearly swollen by the rains.  The rain was falling too hard for me to stop and take a picture, but when I returned home, as soon as there was a slight break, I headed for our creek.  It too was swollen and rushing.

We have a lot of water, and it's still coming down!  My thoughts go out to those folks who may be impacted by the recent rain and threats of flooding.
